A great Rio tradition: 6:45 PM (“Projeto Quase Sete”)

In the Praza Onze in Rio, near the center of the city and close to a Métro stop, every Thursday at 6:45 PM there’s a free performance at the Teatro Gonzaguinha — a great way to end the work day before entering the subway and going home.  A wonderful tradition, don’t you think?  And wouldn’t it be great if we could have something like it here in New York — especially with the quality of talent you find in Rio as part of the “Projeto Quase Sete.”  The project has the support of the Prefeitura do Rio (How about it Mayor Bloomberg?)   [more information]
