Grupo Los Santos performing in Havana, Cuba
|

Grupo
Los Santos is not the traditional latin jazz ensemble. They are
four fine American jazz musicians who have dedicated their hearts
and their talents to integrating the latin idiom, primarily rhythmic,
into their jazz performance, and the result is their own unique sound
that has received critical acclaim from both the American and hispanic
music worlds. Their CD, Noches En El Taller, received
outstanding reviews in Música Pro, Cadence and
Latin Percussion, which commented that their “different
styles ranging from jazz, Cuban, Brazilian... [make] a commendable
performance.” CD Baby found their “mix of inspired,
personal improvs, laid back latin grooves, and a warm, empathic group
sound irresistable.”

Grupo Los Santos features Paul Carlon on tenor sax , Pete Smith on guitar, William Beaver Bausch on drums, and David Ambrosio on bass.

“Relaxed,
authentic Latin grooves underpin an open-ended, intimate jazz quartet
setting to create a truly unique and satisfying kind of jazz. I
find this mix of inspired, personal improvs, laid back latin grooves
and a warm, empathic group sound irresistible...”
