Authentic Rio-style Brazilian Carnaval
This 10-piece carnaval band includes a full drumming section (batucada) and female vocalist to the dazzling musicianship of Grupo Saveiro, twice voted the best Brazilian band in the United States by the Brazilian International Press Association. Members of Beleza Brazil are veterans of Rio de Janeiro’s world famous Carnaval parades, and here in the United States, the group brings crowds to their feet on dance floors everywhere, with their irresistible mix of carnaval rhythms, performed on surdos, tantan, pandeiro, repique, caixa, cuica, tambourim and bateria,
along with guitar, bass and cavaquinho,and spiced with hot keyboard harmonies.
Beleza Brazil has performed at the largest carnaval celebration in the United States (in Austin) for the last 8 years, where they perform to a dancing, jumping, costumed crowd of 6,000 celebrants.
