 Fresh,
strong, sensual, exquisite. . . the voice of Napua Davoy has been heard
on concert stages and major jazz venues in New York City and around the
world, where she has toured extensively
throughout Russia with her longtime collaborator, Russia's famed pianist/composer
Andrei Kondakov.
Based in New York City, she recently sang to a sold-out Birdland in New
York City, with a program that evoked joy, Brazil, sensuality, freedom
and love, ranging the gamut from ballads to scat, moving listeners from
joyful clapping to hushed attention. She was selected to open the 2002
Hartford Jazz Series, and has been a featured performer at festivals in
the United States, Australia, as well as Odessa, Kiev, Petrosavodsk, Murmansk,
Nischninovgorod, among others.
A person whose spirituality, energy, and love of life shines through every
song, Napua wins fans wherever and whenever she steps onstage.
Napua can be heard on two CD’s, the newest “Until We Meet
Again,” and her debut album, “A Little Time For Me.”
She is available for bookings at clubs, festivals, and private events
– as a soloist accompanying herself on piano, or with her own ensembles
of various sizes.
