Grupo Saveiro
Award-winning samba and pagode band with vocals
Twice voted “the best Brazilian group in the United States” by the Brazilian International Press Association, Grupo Saveiro performs authentic Brazilian samba, including the popular style known as “pagode” — a lively and joyful type of samba featuring typical instrumentation like cavaquinho, violão, and percussion (tantã, pandeiro, tambourim, repique, surdo) along with male vocal harmonies.
